QMS Auditing for Advanced Practitioners
about this course
We designed this course because so many quality management system auditors and managers have told us that they want to develop their competences beyond the level of the regular 5 day lead auditor course. These are people who are serious about quality and want to assess their systems to a level above the ISO 9001 base-line. This course is therefore most suitable for people with previous QMS auditing experience
The course places greater emphasis on the concepts of efficiency and control of quality risks – both critical business success factors – yet system attributes that receive little weighting within the current IRCA lead audit criteria, and on making the vital link between causes and their effects
what you will learn
The course covers four key advanced quality management concepts. Complex concepts that are too commonly over-looked in standard accredited auditor courses. These are;
- Understanding the concept of “quality risk” and applying the principle to the assessment of preventative action
- The process approach – time to really understand what this actually means
- The human dynamics that underpin a continual improvement process (using Deming principles)
- Identifying and reporting cause and effect
Consequently the focus of this course is on value and making a real difference, rather than simple compliance and box-ticking
accreditation
This advanced course is accredited at level 3, with a learning credit of 1, under the UK Government’s Qualifications and Curriculum Framework
